ok, first of all a bari is tuned to low b right?

if that is so... what would it sound like to play a song intended for a baritone on my raised b guitar?

it would sound like the song up an octave

in classical gutars, an alto guitar is tuned to "A" so up a 4th. i think it is safe to just call a raised B guitar, "raised B".

I got 2 guitars and have been thinkin about tuning my old Art and Lutherie to raised-b, but i don't think i'd use it that much.

...which now that i think about it, wouldn't be much different to the # of times i use it now :(

please people, dont use raised be unless you have a guitar built for that tension, (like an alto guitar mentioned earlier), in most cases, the tension will be really bad for the neck

oh dont worry... that guitar was only like 100 bucks at on cue

but if you use much lighter guage strings, isnt it about the same tension?

i dont think the difference in gauge will matter that much when you are raising it so high...
