Me and my friends just love to play Dave Matthews... We don't want to play some Elvis or CCR shits... I just want to know wich tunes I should play... don't tell me to play GooGoo Dolls, I play DMB with this band...

I hope it's clear now... apparently you've never got "good cohesion" in your groups... we do, and it's by playing DMB that we have fun...
Well, my jazz/blues groups have played at the Blue Note and Villiage Vangard in NYC and I play all the time in Germany, and have played Carnegie hall 7 times (with a symphony orchestra though), so my cohesion is pretty damn good. And I can play more than DMB....(not that there is anything WRONG with DMB).

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with DMB, I am just suggesting that your artistic development might be strengthened by learning some different things. I'd even be willing to bet that DMB doesn't only play DMB stuff...wait...the COVERS section on this tab site alone say I'm right. Will you look at that!

It's really good for you.
But if I prefer playin DMB to Jazzy stuffs or anything else... I think I'm free enough to do it, and if I ask some peeps to advice me about wich tunes I should play cauz i don't know them all, Don't come in this thread to say : HEY MAN! STOP DMB! Play something that your group likes, so cohesion will be better!

tssssssssssssssssssss.
I love to be gay, I learned here.

What do you think about this? My artistic developpment at this point of my life is based on DMB, I Learn playing guitar with this group, and I love it... What more should I demand...
I'm n00b, and I will not play in Central Park... ok?

Sorry, you didnt say that those songs were the only ones you knew and had ever heard. You made it sound like you could play a lot of his stuff and just wanted us to pick a setlist for you. If you havent heard all his stuff then go out and BUY all his albums and learn all his songs (or just the ones that interest you) Theres isnt a song I dislike so check them all out and learn as much as you can.

Well, since you already have Bartender, "Don't Drink the Water" would be a good one. They are similar, and on the Storytellers, Dave uses Bartender as an intro to DDTW.

And I am glad to see you have the Lover Lay Down, Grey Street, Billies trifecta...all use the same chords 8)

neither is dave matthews

you would think that since your entire artistic development was based on DMB that you would know all of his songs...

and here's a bit or advice from one "artist" to another, if you plan on playing nothin but DMB, good luck find gigs in the future, because i guarantee no one will want to hire a DMB cover band more than once

so good cohesion comes from playing only songs from the same group?

thats probably the most ignorant statement i've ever heard

Not true. There is a cover band out of Chicago that comes through the midwest a few different times a year and brings in the crowd.

I say if that's what you love to do then go for it.

Also, I didn't see Drive In Drive Out or Rhyme & Reason
