'Prelude to Grace' tab?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

'Prelude to Grace' tab?

Post by ForksonKnives »

I'm not talking about the slide guitar stuff Stefan does. I'm talking about the jam played at the beginning of the 7.10.04 encore and also on 6.23.01. Does anyone have anything for this? I figured out the melody of just playing single strings for the notes, but it sounds like Dave is playing a few strings and has a really twangy sound. Any help is appreciated.

Prelude
(First played on the 2001 summer tour, said by Dave to be a part of the
original Grace Is Gone, and it seems to have turned into the chours for
Where Are You Going)

I only have the Hershey recording, but to me, it doesn't sound like he plays the open D. Also, instead of that A#, I think he just alternates the bass notes from C to B. This is just me, though.

OK here's the mp3 from Hershey on 7.10.04

Note: it is in mpeg-4 format for some reason and windows media player will not play this. Use itunes or winamp.
