I am only risking my internet integrity amongst ya'll for people who I don't know. Some would call that righteous.

I, personally, call that close to pointless....given the terms.

It's not pointless & it doesn't only apply to this argument. There are instances everyday when this kid of thing happens. People need to think for themselves amd form their own opinions. Otherwise, the indivuality is lost on these boards.

No, he's being pretty clear. I suggest you re-read his posts in this thread. He's saying that if we don't agree with his opinions on who is a guitar god, we are morons.

Ok, I reread the posts and below is pretty much the first page showing that you are wrong. Everything in Bold are his posts. Where is this moron guitar god thing? I thought he played all of the insults well that people threw at him. Wow, imagine that, People attacking a newbie at dmbtabs.
Anyway, he wasn't an ass until Check wrote his post. I would defend myself too if Check wrote that. And it's typical around here for people to follow the leader.

Any one care to explain why there are so many damn posts about John Mayer, i know hes a good guitar player (i have seen him at Crossroads and in concert) but hes not THAT damn good. Listen to Johnny Winter, Michael Kellsey, Frank Zappa (shut up and play yer guitar), not to mention Jimmy Page, Hendrix etc. Get off Mayyer's nuts and listen to some real mother fuckers lay it down.

and while i respect that people want to learn a certain persons music, im just sayin there is much more to playing guitar than Mayer, and Dave

i couldnt agree with you more on that note, the show i went to he started with some song that sound like Lionel Richie wrote, and then progressed to some of the best live blues i have heard in a long time. Mayer needs to ditch the fucking body is a wonderland and go straight blues.

Read that. Brock was saying he was calling evrybody morons if they didn't agree with the his version of a guitar god. Then he told me to reread the post. I did re-read it and foudn that Brock was clearly wrong. In fact, Brock and I had a conversation agreeing about John Mayer. And you know what we agreed on? Exactly what this new guy posted. (saying that John has lost his drive & he is not using his potential)

Sorry I've been out of town and my lappytop is in the shop. I absolutely 100% agree that John lost his vision. That does NOT mean that I agree with the OP that anyone who likes him is stupid and "on his nuts", to quote the OP. I found the majority of his posts on the first page incredibly pretentious and arrogant, throwing around names to make all of us lowly Dave and John-heads respect his guitar godliness and change our opinions to fit his. I feel that way as strongly as I feel that John sucks now. My $0.02.

My post was obviously 75% a joke. I did a piss poor job showing it was a joke/sarcastic, but new dude understand and is cool.
The only thing i siad mean was callign him a moron, wich was meant more sarcastic and in jest. shouldnt havem, I know.
