DADDDD tuning

I like to have sex with me while i play dashboard songs and wanted to know if there are any other artists who use this tuning because I just went to it. Also if anybody knows some good chords besides the standard ones for this tuning, thanks.

Not if you mix up your string guages, heavier strings for tuning down, lighter strings for tuning up.

About chords in the tuning, uhh... Mark Tremonti uses that tuning, I think. Maybe you should learn some Creed and Alter Bridge.

i personally think its a fun tuning because just struming through it open sounds amazing.....and i enjoy playin some dash songs....but i hate tuning to it because the tensions are fucked up....if i had a ton of guitars id keep one in this tuning though with the right gauges and all.....

i disagree about him being a douche....because the whole emo scene is built around emotional lyrics and not nessecarily tricky guitar......and using stupid tunings doesnt make someone a douche at all in my book

and my point was not that he sucks because his guitar isn't tricky. he uses all those tunings for no reason: he still jsut plays power chords. it seems like he is retuning his guitar just to try to make his guitar look "flashy." if that isn't first class douchery i dont know what is

i you want more songs that use that sort of tuning check out the goo goo dolls. Iris is a crap load of d's across the board....pretty much all of their songs use tunings so that all you do is change the base notes.

i agree. i have played some dashboard songs and when i look at the tab is says to go some fucked up tuning, and i do, and then i say to myself, why was that necessary, all i needed to do was to drop d, at the most.
