satellite variations

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

if you go to the "search" function and type in the word "satellite" it was the fifth thread titled, "Satellite Verse".
Now lets try this on our own.

that extra version will also help you with the real version, at least it helped me with the dmbtabs version
For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

I dunno, for me using medium strings makes satellite 100x easier. my elixer lights are too slippery to catch the last note on the E.

that link that was provided up above i thought was a little hard to play, so i tabbed out here the alternate way of playing satellite
and all the little ants are marching..

I am of the opinion that, although it's a rarity, Dave's way is the easiest way to play it. You're only playing on the 4th-8th frets rather than 1st-8th (or for arguments' sake 1st-6th). It's just more compact than this variation.

But I am also of the opinion that whichever way is the easiest for you is the correct way, so have at it! :)

there is also a cool little intro to satellite (not the off key intro) that is fun to play...I have the tab and a clip of Dave playing it somewhere. Let me know if you are interested and I will try to track it down.
