How is #41 first chord played w/o a sec thumb on left hand??

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Yeah, same with me. Thats how he plays it on the Benaroya DVD, except he doesn't fret the 8 on the third chord.

I don't think this method has been posted. Its the way the LALC books have it tabbed out. I think it sounds just find and the 3rd chord is easier if you ask me.

Whoa, that's even more different than all of ours. However, your rhythm is a bit off, it's is so much as strumming a lot as strumming at the right time.

I have that Cherry Lane book (my friend is borrowing it right now) but I never bothered to look at #41 from it because I knew it already, lol.

Whats wrong with the cherry lane books? I love them. If they can make a weird chord easier and sound almost identical, I have no complaints. Also, that was from the live at luther college vol. 2 book, so if you have the first one, it won't be in there.

Oh, that may be why I never looked, lol. I usually use that book just for the Stream tab, which I love.

I take my way... Over what you had played. No offense.

It's just I THINK the way most people play it sounds alot better.

Me?

Does that matter to you?

I know you are 17 years old & dont have too much to worry about. In all seriousness, don't worry or refer to how much I post. People have said that too me before, and once they have said it, I lose a little respect for them.

first of all, sorry for striking a nerve with you. i truly did not intend to. i was refering to DMBGuru, and i was just pointing it out, hence the ";)". it's not like i said "hey man get a life, you post way too much. get out in the real world." hell, i have over 1500 posts.

but yeah, sorry man. :)

and i'm 16. ;)
