geez...its all equal imo...

heathcliff haiku warriors is fun and teaches a odd picking ruthm pattern...

JTR is good...fun when you learn it...

if you can land one Dave song, you can pretty much get em all...

hows'about Mother Father?

probably stone, it requires you to have a descent handle on your picking technique, everything else is basically just strumming

I got JTR down pretty quick, but that was after playing Dave's stuff for such a long time. Man, that's a good sounding riff, and maybe the toughest, along with Billies. Not to mention, Proudest Monkey.

proudest monkey??? ok......and JTR (when it was John the Revelator) was one of the first songs I learned on guitar ever and it was before there was even a tab for it. Don't ask me how, but somehow I just did it.

Jimi Thing in my opinion is Dave's most technically difficult composition, requiring both strumming and slight picking. If you can get that song down including the mutes and clicks, nicely done: you're about as close to Dave's style as you're ever going to get.

no one song is more technically difficult than the other, rather just parts

i'd say the verse of JTR and the verse of Warehouse seem to be the most technically difficult. this isn't to say that these are hard, just the hardest...

You're right. I meant just the intro, I don't know why I said composition.

I also agree with the verse of Warehouse...big time.

Warehouse, and the verse of Tripping Billies, lotsa movement there. Also Ryhme and Reason can be kinda tricky.

In order and what parts give me fits.

1. ANTS MARCHING (the verse it sounds like he picks and slides. Dave does some muting with his ring finger and index so he can strum or half strum it.)

2. WAREHOUSE ( the verse 7th fret on the B string I know he mutes below with his index finger but I still hit the strings above at times.)

3. TRIPPING BILLIES ( The verse with the slides and crap. What the hell is he doing?)

4.LIE IN OUR GRAVES (I know how to pick through the verse and all but I have still not seen him play it live and have a feeling he mutes to get that picking affect.)

5. THE STONE (Enough said.)

i am NOT good and i the stone was like the first song i learned! well i do have some trouble playing the verse repetiviley (can't cpel) . Warehouse, Trippin Billies verse, and Rhyme and Reason. BOWA verse is pretty tricky too.
