12 String Vids - Update LWS Songs

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

12 String Vids - Update LWS Songs

Post by Nitro1515 »

Hey guys I just made some more vids of the LWS 12 string songs except for Bartender and Raven, if people like these and they help then I'll do those as well. Anyway let me know what you think. And please excuse the crappy quality but all I have at school is an old webcam and a desktop microphone.

If you want to make one of Grey Street or Sweet Up and Down, go ahead my friend. I know they are kind of easy, I can play them but I still love watching how other people do it. YOur 12 string sounds awesome, the main site's video of Grey Street is way off, as far as timing.

I want a 12 sting, but i dont want to have to bother with tuning/changing strings and buying strings. If you get Elixer 12 strings they are like $40 holy crap... i know you can find cheeper but oh well. When im famous like dave and can afford some guy to change my strings ill get one...

Oh and another thing, i think your timing is a little off in some spots on JTR, i dont think you hold it long enough in a few spots and you change short in one spot every time. It sounds good just a lil different from the studio version. It could be that it sounds different live, ive only heard it once live so Dave could of changed it a little, not sure. But anyways, nice work.

i suppose they could be a bitch to tune, my has a tuner built in though so it's not that tough :)

also good vids...i didn't need help with any of them, but they were a joy to watch. the only comment i would make is your fingering for grey street is different than dave's but that's ok because for the most part the timing was right.
