After the first listen, that song really didn't do much for me. It sounded like any other band's single that you hear on the radio. I'm not saying the whole album will suck, but that song was really lacking the dmb sound that I love.

right, lets not forget that, just because its DMB you have to automatically like it.

Alright I like it, its not the best but you have to think how often does the first single become your favorite song off the album...
What Would You Say
Too Much
Don't Drink the Water
I Did It
Where Are You Going

These songs are definitely not the best songs for their respective albums, so to those of you that are down on this song and think the rest of the CD is going to be bad just keep that in mind.

This song sounded like it could have been on everyday. :? Not a shitty song, but I agree with Mitch.

i dont know what it is about DMB and the electric guitar but i just dont think they match (unless its a guest of course). i think the reason people dont like everyday is because it doesnt sound like the signature "dave sound" people are used to. the more i think about it the less i am worried. after the huge response towards everyday, do you think DMB would do it again? besides, i have faith in the guys, its just the direction mark batson is taking them in that scares me.

I don't know what the producer was thinking, putting all those AOL advertisements in it.

I still have high hopes for the album, but Id be a lot less skeptical if the first song had blown my socks off, it didnt.

This is what Waldo over at nancies who was at the listening party last night had to say about this song:
This was one of the simpler, less-innovative songs on the album, or so was my impression last night. I like it, but it doesn't represent any great musical departure or innovation for DMB.

I think this is just a safe song that everyone can listen to on the radio, im sure they did some pretty elaborate stuff throughout the rest of the album

well they obviously had every intention of this being the radio single.. and i dont mind that at all. i think it sounds like a great song id turn up and cruise to if it came on the radio, and it'd be a nice mellow point of the album

and also note.. dmb said they felt this was there gift to themselves there not trying to impress us haha and you may be a loyal fan but dont they deserve it?
