So, anyone wanna try and tab out that new little riff from the 4th video that is played on the 12 string? Sounds awsome.

Does it every actually show him playing this in the video, I mean showing his actual hands? I would be willing to bet he plays it a different way. I would guess all of those 0's are really 5's on the string below. Here are my two reasons for assuming this. First off, dave prefers fretted strings over open strings, look at the stone. Secondly, I think he practices segovia's scales because segovia's G scales goes like E string 3,5 ; A string ; 2,3,5 ; D string 2,4,5. So it looks like he just took a G scale he practices all the time and made it into a melody. Not to say anything is wrong with this, but I would assert that I think he probably plays fretted 5's instead of open strings.

hmm, anybody figured out that little part dave is playing in the beginning of the video... starts with an a barred on the on the 2nd fret

That's cool that you are familiar with Andres Sergovia, my teacher studied under him. Now he was an awesome guitar player.

Segovia was amazing. I am glad to see at least one other person knows who he is. There are so many amazing classical guitarists out there who don't get respect. One a week, we get a new thread entitled "who do you think is the best guitarist?", and everyone jumps on saying tim reynolds and listing other guitarists of the sort. He is an amazing guitarist, I am not trying to take that away from people like him, and eddy van halen, stevie vai, but its unfortunate that these people don't realize how amazing it is to play some classical pieces or flamenco, the technique required is so impressive.

Yeah, my teacher studied with Christopher Parkening under Sergovia. A lot of respect for them both.
