I see the chord in bold like that on farm aid instead of a 2X23 chord, anyone else?

I never liked the Chord:

2x23

Maybe this is the missing link.

Eh, it doesn't sound so hot when I play it, but that's what I see him playing. So who knows?

Maybe it's 2x232. It's hard to see. Someone else that doesn't suck at music help me out.

Which Farmaid? I'll check it out when I get home. I am assuming you are talking about '04. From other chords he uses, he does like to use the 2xx232 chord, but I know Stay or Leave has weird tunings.

I've never tried it, it doesn't look difficult besides the fact that it has some funky tuning.

it's definitively x2x23x, it cant be 2xx232 because he's using his middle finger to play the 2 on the A string. it sounds pretty good to me.
kukini, the bold doesnt work on the code and mlb1399, yes it's '04

Don't worry about the tuning, Raised-B tuning is pretty much the same as a capo on the 7th fret. The song is not tough at all, but you have to play it along with a recording to get the timing right, as well as the time signature change (right before the first "remember we used to dance"). There are solo acoustic videos of it at VH1.com and claypigeons.net.

firstly , i really dont want to have to tune differently ( im not very good) but the B tuned version looks allot easier, Also strumming while i hit the base notes, which you have to do very quickly. any tips?

The capo on 7 - use same chords as raised B. Actually easier cause the frets are smaller.

I thinks it's more diffictult with the capo on because I have trouble adjusting my hands so the capo doesn't interfere with them. But that's just me.
