Laughter come on downtown window
And we see faces walking back
Tonight everybody gonna remember
Remember in time...
Thats the best version, without the passion intro, Warehouse just doesn't cut it
You're right. I don't care that much for the stop-time intro. It sounds cool, but is overdone at concerts. Its too bad he doesn't do the passion intro at concerts with the band. I can just see dave doing the weird echo-vocal effects with butch adding keyboard dittys and boyd possibly plucking along.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away
The best from my mind
1. Ants (This song was the virus that started the dave disease for me)
2. warehouse
3. tripping billies
4. LIOG
5. you never know
6. Recently
7. best of whats around
8. stay
9. one sweet world
10. say goodbye

yeah, man. this is where I'm comin' from. Don't Drink the Water made me intrigued but Ants got me HOOKED. I'll never ever get sick of that song. BOWA is another early one that got me hooked. another one would be Crush. but this list here is as good as it gets. only one I'd take out would be Stay. I put Crush, #41, The Stone above that one but Stay adds good flavor to that particular list.
Ants
Crush
Spoon
Live DDTW
Live What you are
Stay or leave
#41
Bartender (the longest version you can find )
Dancing Nancies
Grace is Gone
Live Grey street (sorry but its the first song i ever SAW live)
Halloween
One Sweet World (acoustic)
The Stone
Two step
I'll Back you up
The Last Stop
Seek UP
And Sleep to dream her (just kidding imwithfatjack i hate that song too)
Come on guys, only TOMAMI has mentioned one of his greatest ever:
SAY GOODBYE!
its just beautiful music dudes
dave
oh my list:
crush
say goodbye
warehouse
trippin billies
jimi thing
those are the five i just could not live without.
but all your lists sound accurate to me. but whoever said "digging a ditch" i agree whole heartedly with Jason..good god that song puts me to SLEEP!
and dreams of our fathers..hrmmmm
"Sing and Dance I'll play for you tonight, for the thrill of it all...Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes, but I'll work it out"
At the headwaters show, they changed it very slightly and it was pretty cool, if i remember they just increased the speed while tim did some fast fingerpicking parts, then back to the verse...simple but very cool
One Sweet World
Seek Up
Pig
LIOG
The Stone
Raven
How Many More (I know. It's not 'officially' a song, but I love that groove. They should really do something with that one.)
Dancing Nancies
JTR
That's good for now. Yes, Ants is pretty much DMB's theme song, but I don't think it's one of their very best.
