Because of Winn-Dixie Song

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Yes, I did, and I posted it over at ufck. It appears that site is down now, so I'll get it to you ASAP.

Code: Select all

Note that the high E string is tuned down to a D. That's the only way to get that harmonic like that.

D------------------------------
B--3-----3---------------------
G--2-----2--------0-2-----0h2--
D--0--2--0--0h2h4-----4-0------
A------------------------------
E------------------------------

Transition from D to Bm

D------------------------
B---------------------3--
G----------0h2-0---0--4--
D--0h2-2h4-------4----4--
A---------------------2--
E------------------------

D--------------------------------<7>----------------------
B--3--3--------------------------------0------------------
G--4--0-------0-2-------4--(0)*---------------------------
D--4--4-0h2h4-----4-(0)-0---2/4\2-------------------------
A--2--2--------------------------------2/4 Back-to-the-D--
E-----------------------3---------------------------------

At the :33 mark in the clip, Dave plays a little thing that's not in the video. (Due to the looping) But yeah, it's not that hard, just mess around with hammer ons and such around a D.

I haven't heard the song, but that riff is a lot like something I wrote a few months ago.

I need to hear that.
