Man on the Side I play a lot as well just because it's a lot of fun to jam around with and sounds absolutely great on electric. everyone always asks me to play neon so I do that...something's missing I think is a great tune to play. 3X5 and Why Georgia will always be some of my favorite songs though. again, i do definitely see where you're coming from by saying that. a lot of us forget about why we listen to the artists in the first place and why there are so many different variations of the art itself...it's because we love music. just because someone else isn't playing the same music we love/like, or someone else is a little different doesn't mean we can't get anything out of it or we should diss 'em. that's just totally going against, at least dave's message of spreadin' some good lovin'.
mayer's a great, great guitarist. i used to listened to him quite a bit when he was starting out, but i moved on. there are a few favorite tunes that i go back to...he has great execution, but sometimes his lyrics are grating. In Your Atmosphere, Man on the Side, Neon, and a few others are some that i come back to. i'm looking forward to hearing his new album at least once, along with dave's.
