haha.
how old are you?
like you would know. Did you give him a pee pee test before the show?
I'm 22, 23 in April, and you?
If I offended anyone with my original comment, I'm sorry. I should have watched it a second time before making a post.
After watching this again on my friend's TIVO, and thinking back to other appearances, I'm actually thinking he may just be that way also. I have friends that are very withdrawn, that when they are high/drunk act a lot like Dave did on Leno, or other interviews/appearances I have seen. That's what I based my comment off of. That and the fact that tons of people posted things on this board and others to the effect of "Dave was high.."
But as he is like this every time I see him on TV, it's likely that he is just that way.
I can remember seeing him on Politically Correct a couple of times years ago, and I don't think he was quite that animated, since Politically Incorrect is usually based around serious issues, but from what I remember he acted similar, and I think that is based out of nerves.
It's kind of nice to see after all these years that Dave still gets nervous before an appearance like that.
ha. No offense man. It's all good- I was just fuckin around anyhow.
Not a problem. I should have watched it again before posting the first time. Just watched it again and I definitely think he is just eccentric.

Wrong. All sources indicated that he was to perform Butterfly.
this is from an email i got from warehouse;
Dave will appear as guest of Jay Leno on The Tonight Show on Thursday, February 17th, promoting the movie, Because of Winn Dixie, which will make its theatrical debut on Friday, February 18th. In the movie, Dave Matthews plays a quirky pet store clerk, charming pets with songs on his guitar. Dave's character also performs an original song in the movie entitled, "Butterfly". Please check local listings for The Tonight Show times.
it says that dave's character performs butterfly in the movie, not on Leno.

I was 3rd row and screamed at him after the show and he looked over, but there were too many people. Oh well, I'll meet him some day. It was cool seeing Dave that close again though. Peace.
Jason, Whats up man?... Dude thats fucking awesome!
im sort of glad he didnt perform in one sense. the fact that he was only on to talk and not perform on a show like that sorta amps up his fame. i just like the fact i think that tonight he was sort of separated from the musical side
