okay I need some help

okay so I understand chords! but I don't understand how you know how to strum the chord by reading the music or tabs. can someone help me or give me a good site to check out?

its all about feel. on tabs.. you cant know how to strum it. you have to hear it.
On music usually they have the notation for the rythym.
BUT on jazz music, the chords are just there alot of the times, and you do the rythym how you want. its called (comping).

Yes, YOU, need to listen and just try to flow. In the beginning strumming seems awkward and wrong, but it gets easy after a while.

Two rules for you:

Listen.
Practice.
Listen.
