Does anyone else think that Jewel sucks now. I mean, before at least she was respectable and played a guitar instead of a damn keyboard. Just thought id throw that out there...sorry

Haven't heard her newer stuff. Taylor respected her enough to give manufacture a signature guitar for her though.

yea that was when she actually played a guitar. you should take a listen to the new stuff. i used to like her so much too. she's turned pop. and not just regular pop, like dance music pop.

heh, yeah. she might fall under the over-used term of sell out. she called her new album a "dance album," which is entirely true from the few tracks i heard. how is dancing going to save the world? *sigh* i miss the old jewel.

Yup, she certainly isn't nearly as good as she was before. However, the girls I was driving up to the Selma show had her new CD and played it and I have to admit, there are some catchy tunes.

Don't you realize the irony of it? She's blatantly poking her finger in the eye of every pseudo-musician and "making the band" shit out there. I guarantee that her next album will be back to her typical style. 0304 is Jewel's Everyday. She wanted to do something different and so she did. But the whole point was to show that anyone can put crap out there and it will sell. She's just trying to make a point. Besides, she's totally sexy and it's nice to actually see some skin, IMO.

BTW, have you seen the video on the countdown? There's a scrolling message at one point and the person who wrote it says something like: "Jewel's music sounds so much better now that she's dancing." WTF? How does her dancing have anything to do with the sound of her music? People are dumb.
