Post by jphesterly »

This guitar is absolutely mint, will trade for a brand new taylor acoustic electric or a new 300 series acoustic electric and some cash. also will sell outright, price is negotiable of course. yes it comes with the hardshell case.

Isn't the D-28 worth more than the 300 series Taylors? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the D-28 was worth more.

And don't listen to these guys. (They are drama queens   ) If you wanna trade it then trade it.

my dear me, stop now, first of all, a pick up system you'd install would sound better than anything you'd get in a Taylor. Check this stuff out...

or...

either of those pickup systems would sound a world better in your martin than buying a Taylor. why are you hesitant about putting a pickup in?

probably because of cutting a hole into it, i bet. i would be hesitant too, but with the bottom link that gcom gave you to the i-beam, you don't have to cut a whole in it. i've heard a lot of mixed things about the i-beam, but for the majority it's been relatively positive, so give that a look if that's what you're wary about.

but i still like my Taylor a lot...:)

even as a Taylor owner, I would have to agree...don't trade it for a 3 series...at least go up to a 6 series or better...

both pickups that I suggest (which are the two best on the market for natural acoustic reproduction) only require you to drill a hole at the endpin for the jack which is extremely easy. there are no actual holes in the body. the B-Band is your best bet...it's this new technology...this little plastic strip is just stuck on the bottom of the bridge and that's that...easy breezy...sounds amazing too. doesn't feed back as much as the i-beam either and it also has a slightly more natural tone. plus, whereas it's a soundboard pickup and you have a killer acoustic, it'll sound all the better than a cheap taylor. the B-band's definitely as good as taylor's expression system and the i-beam isn't far behind. call the guys at elderly...

they'll tell you the same thing.

I've heard good things about the SansAmp acoustic boxes producing good acoustic sound through electric guitar amps and PA systems...might check them out...
