Top 5 songs you'd play.....

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

Top 5 songs you'd play.....

Post by tjmac66pc »

.....if you were invited to play an open mic night/party/coffee house???

Personally i'd go with:

1. Crush
2. Only the good die young (b joel)
3. Buzzing (howie day)
4. Africa (toto/howie day)
5. ants marching

Just curious as to how some people would mix it up a little...

you mean, as far as covers?

at some friends' parties i do some lion king covers, throw in some dave, which always varies. i have a pop song blend that i do where i do nsync, britney spears, and other pop acts mixed together into one song, which helps draw the crowd in, and usually some slower radiohead songs. can't give you specifics, because i always vary, but those are usually what i do. :)

I'm saying if you were given a chance to perform at a party/lounge in front of VIP's (whoever you'd enjoy/dream to play for) and you had to choose five songs... what would be the top five you would choose for that one performance...

you can close your eyes - James Taylor

change the world - eric clapton

seven days - sting

every little thing she does is magic - the police

glorybound - martin sexton

eh, that's what I'd do now, I'm thinking just solo acoustic, if it were whatever I wanted with a band and electric, it'd probably be fairly different.
