i just wanted to see how this sounded to you guys. i've been trying to sing decently. i'm working on the entire song, with a second guitar and such.

You're a little flat at times but this is much better than the other vocals I've heard from you.
My advice is to relaaaaax. Don't force the notes out. Whatever you do don't strain to reach notes. That doesn't mean don't sing any high notes it means don't STRAIN for them.

If you're doing it correctly than it shouldn't be uncomfortable.
Anyway, I could go on forever about things you should and shouldn't do but just use common sense, in other words if it hurts stop doing it.

And...
Drink lots of water-they recommend a gallon a day
Don't smoke
Stay away from lactose-this isn't a problem for some people.

Yeah, a little flat at times but you'll fix that with practice. It was pretty minimal.
I'm impressed that for the most part you, hit the "high" notes. I agree with the comments about Thom but don't try to sound like him. Just sing comfortably and your own tone will start to develop.

i think you have a pretty good voice, but its undeveloped. I've got good range in your vocal. You have a clear voice, its not bassy like some male singers. This has tons of potential.

Yes to an extent. It's a byproduct of good technique. It's hard to describe how to do it though.
When you have just the right amount of air going to the chords vibrato should be quite easy to do.

yea i've always wanted to hear something with vocals. everything you do is so incredible and i listen to your advice probably more than anyone elses on the boards...but i think its time you back it up.

I have posted something with vocals, a long while ago. As a matter of fact Miguel was the first person to respond.

ANYWAY!

PAT, sounds pretty damn good man. like miguel said, i was surprised you got to those high notes. i'm not a big vocal guy, so i can't critique so much, but it sounded good. maybe not as confident as it could be, but other than that, nicely done.
