really? I never had that problem. I drank a bunch of it before my band played Immigrant Song at a private party and i nailed the opening yells perfectly and didnt have any problems though out our sets. I guess it varies from person to person

i've also found that I can't sing as well with an empty stomach. Always make sure you eat enough before a gig.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

i've always found that after learning the song lyrically and emotionally, hitting the high/hard notes isn't that tough cause you understand what dave is saying, what it means to him. ofcourse, practicing with the voice, i.e. falsetto/bass notes is a great everyday warm-up.

My girlfriend is a music teacher and teaches singing lessons and she says that dave's singing technique is very bad and wouldn't recommend it. I can't sing and don't know the technicals of why it is bad, but she knows her stuff.

NO BOOZE! NO WEED! NO CIGS!

Drink water and WARM up prior to performing.
Stretch those vocal chords and sing from your diaphram.

Wish my technique was as bad as his ... cause I'd be a rich bitch with poor technique ... just like Dave :D

Dozens of forums are dedicated to his music ... must be something to having bad technique.
