Nah me, and I've only been playing for 8 months and finally have some stuff I feel comfortable posting and wanted to know what you all thought... Now I'm not trying to be a dick here at all but the I don't remember there being ANY runs. You must have made some big steps since then. If that's the case I'd like to here it.

i posted my version like what? 4-5 months ago? i forget, yes that version was different from the version im on now. but my recording setup is messed up right now, and the only means i have of recording is through someone i dont really like to play with, or even be around. But even with that route his laptop is dead so itd be a few weeks until he gets that workin again.

Where are these solos you are talking about? There are some longer runs, some harder than others...but regardless you didn't have anything but chords in the version you played.

No, I'm not good enough to play the runs cleanly. So I haven't bothered with any of the rest (the song minus the runs isn't the song.) But I don't say I can play it either.

Hey, I'll give credit where credit is due...I'm not out to shoot anyone down. If you can really play it, props. If you can't play it yet, so what? Most people can't. You don't have to say you can't record for several weeks or whatever.

I openly admit that playing runs at light speed is not my forte'. I can tremelo pick but as soon as I start changing strings it gets ugly.
It's one of those things that you really should start slow on and work gradually up to pace, using a metronome. Otherwise you're never going to get speed AND accuracy.
