I've looked at all the tabs for Sugar Will but I can't find the jam for it. Does anyone have this tabbed out?

Interlude:

This part is WAY tougher than it sounds.. if you listen closely, you'll hear that Dave is playing the "standard" Am pattern of this song in 7/8, while Carter is still playing his part in 4/4! This obviously doesn't add up (4 measures of 7/8 = 28 8th notes, while 4 measures of 4/4 = 32 8th notes), so Dave ends up needing to play an extra 2 beats at the end. Rather than try to count this out as 4 measures of 4/4, then, you should count it out as 4 measures of 7/8 + 1 measure of 2/4 at the end.

Notes: The fingering for this song is pretty simple, and VERY repetitive. Use your middle finger for the root notes and your index finger for the 3rds, and use your pinky for 2nds and 5ths. For example,

It's a real work-out for your pinky, and a very tough stretch during the minor "chords" (the intro/second measure of the verse, and the first/fourth measure of the chorus). But practice makes perfect, and it's a lot of fun to play once you get it down.

thats the tab, but the part he is talking about is most likely not tabbed out yet, or it at least isnt on that tab, because on the version of sugar will that i have, towards the end of the song, while leroi is doing a solo, and then later butch, dave is playing a part that is different than the others

I don't think that's right, I just watched it live and his fingers aren't close to the 5th 7th and 9th frets.

you're right about the rest of the song, I meant that on the jam part he's playing somethion on the G and B string on like the first 5 frets. The rest of the tab is perfect though, no one has tabbed out the jam part yet I guess. I tried to but the clarity on my video is not good at all. Plus the dudes like 200 feet into the crowd.

that really doesn't have to do with theory. It's all in keeping the song in time. It's pretty basic, but that part is indeed a bitch to play
