im looking to add drums or percussion to my song im writing, is there a free program out there to make beats? or a site where beats are ready to dl?

yeah sure, start with somehting simple, 1 kick 1 snare 2 hats.

just play around. pretend your playing drum.

My brother does some cool shit on fruity loops. I'd recommend buying it though, it'd have a lot more features than his demo version.
