Carter can improv his own songs like no other...always on top of whats going on, also a great vocal voice...amazing talent

Dave is a close second cuz he can write amazing stuff...great guitar lines that make you feel the music

i voted for tim, because out of all of them, tim has the best improv skills, best composition skills, and more original person up there...

And he is so versatile, he can adapt to any form of music played and find a lead part that will augment the song 95% of the time.

well if youre talking about people in the band....(not tim)....if raw musicianship includes songwriting overall then dave makes a case, but im pretty sure that all the guys in the band acknowledge leroi as being the "music man" is that right or did i misunderstand/mis-remember
