...man...I wish just for one week that I could spend time in a recording studio...I wanna put some time in and see what would happen... :(

i would too...

but the truth is we probably wouldn't know where to start. i think are setups are probably primitive compared to an actually studio. besides, my computer room is setup like a studio. just an 8-track recorder, instead of a 64-track...

hey man your pretty close anyway. the stuff you've put out here sounds pretty close to studio quality.

my friend's uncle has a studio in his basement! have i used it??? NOOOO!!! why you ask??? I KEEP ASKING MY FRIEND THE SAME G-DAMN QUESTION!!! Perfect opportunity to test one's capabilities is in a studio.. i think i'll need weapons to get this done...i'm dying to check it out too!

Get yourself a nice condensor mic.. a good quality pre-amp for it.. a good quality DA/AD convertor (sound cards are not _good_).. and use S/PDIF to transport it into software-land (any recording software will do). It won't be cheap, but that'll cover the barebones of what you'd get in a studio.. and what will you get out of it? A more faithful recording of what you heard.. and about 100db SNR. The gain is miniscule really.. assuming you are already recording at the max potential of consumer hardware.
