So I did this last week but couldn't find a host. Luckily Ryan hooked me up (thanks dude ). I did it in one take of each track...I'm not that happy with the way the vocals came out, but then again I never am...haha..so yeah, give it a listen.
that was pretty good...the guitar was pretty good, especially the bridge.....i think thats where you vocals were best....work on the vocals just a bit more, especially during the chorus...other then that, nice cover:)
i thought it was great. if you can hold a beat and sing along, then the rest can be worked on. your voice was great and no one's ever happy with their own vocals you have a better range than you're allowing yourself though. you should open up a little, sing louder. i think you should maybe capo it up, sing it another half step or step higher and get loud w/ it. you have a great voice.
nice job. there is absolutely nothing wrong with your voice. but man oh man did the guitar suck ass.... haha just kidding. i enjoyed the whole damn thing, very nice.

yeah i always feel like i am holding back because i don't want to get scratch in the recording...my microphone absolutely sucks and if i let myself go i get a lot of static. especially with words that have f's in them. i can't really explain it..i have tried muffling the mic but then you can barely here me. i have to go out and buy a decent mic...anyone have any recommendations?
and thank you everyone for your comments, i appreciate them
Great job! Sounded great, but I've never heard the original version (Damien Rice right?) so I can't really compare. Your voice was wonderful, keep up the good work.
And have you tried singing a bit farther away from the mic to get rid of that static you were talking about?

Yeah but then you can barely hear me and the quality is crap. I think the only solution to this problem is getting a decent quality mic.

edit: i really enjoy listening to this
yea, you can definetly hear her fine. volume wasn't an issue. it's her letting her voice go, that's the only issue.
can't give you any advice on a mic, i'm still using a piece of crap myself. so good luck w/ that
exactly..and the thing that sucks is that i can feel it when i actually am singing but i can't really do anything about it if i want a good recording! i'm gonna do some research on mics.
