So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dave's solo album. Stay or Leave and Gravedigger will most likely be on it.. I don't think anybody knows what it's going to include. I am quite stoked for it, though.

i hope it stays that way too, as anxious as i am to hear it i really hope it doesnt get leaked. it most likely will get leaked but i definately think its worth it to wait until its released (which is sept. 23 right?), that makes it even sweeter.[/quote]

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard that Dave already filmed a music video for Gravedigger?!?!?! Who knows though, cuz my brain is fried since I'm thinking way too much about my future 310.

I'm not about the video being filmed already or not, but i'm almost positive that i read that gravedigger would be the first single off of it.

i too am stoked and wish it could stay protected until release.

I'm sure there are several ways, but I believe one of the most popular is when the proof cd (don't know the name but you know what I mean) is distributed and someone copies it...

nancies.org reported that Dave has indeed filmed a "Gravedigger" video, which will be the first single.

record companies send pre-releases to stores, radio stations, magazines, etc. the store or station employees either put the cd onto the computer, or someone manages to steal it. from what i've seen, its usually a doing lending it to a friend, and the friend rips it for himself. but pre-releases arent always going to be the same quality as the proper cd, ei; songs might be cut or something.

Ok here's a summary of all the concrete info that has been accumulated via nancies.org , antsmarching.org and various magazines:

1. The CD has already been recorded in Seattle and was produced by Busted Stuff producer Steve Harris.

2. Tim Reynolds will GUEST on more than one track however this is NOT a Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds studio project which some originaly reported.

3. Trey Anastasio of Phish has confirmed his appearance on the album.

4. Gravedigger WILL be on the album and is the first single. The video has already been shot (in Seattle?) and should air later this summer.

5. The album's original release date was set for April/May but has been pushed to an unspecificed date in September to avoid competition with Tinsley's True Reflections.

6. There is kickoff party in Boulder, CO on August 6 where Dave will solo live debut some of the tracks from the new album.

7. Taylor is putting out a CD showcasing artists that use their guitars which Dave is listed with a track titled "Litho Blitho". What that means is anyones guess but it is a safe assumption it will be on Some Devil.

Ziggy Marley and Bela Fleck are also both rumored to appear on the album but there has been no confirmation of this yet. Also, it is more than likely that Stay or Leave and Blue Water may also be on the track list due to their emergence on the D&T tour but is pure speculation. This is all that I've heard or seen about the new album so if anyone has anything to add, feel free to do so.

Cheers!
