ahhhhhhh, my best friend. :) I almost always play in open tunings now. why limit yourself with plain ol' standard?

my favorites are DADGAD, CGCGCE (Open C), and DAF#GAD (Open D). Oh, and Open G (DGDGBD)

I'm almost done writing one in open D. That's all I've been in for the past few days. click here for a suprise! hehe.

But yeah, I usually research some on google, and look for suggestions.

My highly evolved method of using them is this:
1. Pick open or alternate tuning at random
2. Play around with it.

Pat! Get us that song ASAP. It sounds f-ing good.

Won't earn me any points for originality, but DADGAD is my favorite.
