So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

The Last Stop

Post by vandamit »

When i play the outro it doesn't sound right. I play what this site says to play, and it sounds like shit. It think the problem is the bottom two strings, when they are fretted on the second fret. I think that is whats making sound like ass. Is this the correct tab, cause i don't think its quite right.

I know what you're talking about. I find it only sounds right if it's tuned a half step down and you play them on the third fret, even though technically they are the same.

But if you play it standard(like the one on the site, they have half step down and standard) the outro sounds like poop..it doesn't sound right at all

That's what I was trying to say. Playing those e and b strings on 2 doesn't sound the same as when you play them half step down and on 3. Not to me, anyway

assuming you are speaking of the "Live at Chicago" ending:

in standard tuning you could get by with:

Cadd9 to G/B to F#/G to G

even if u just listen for the bass notes:

3rd fret to 2nd fret A string
2nd fret to 3rd fret Low E string...
