the Taylor ES cant be installed in any other guitar. not that people wont, it CANT BE.
the ES system uses Taylors NT neck as a factor in the pickups. no other brand uses Taylors NT neck obviously. therefore, no other brand can use it.
i thought i had read somewhere that they could put the pickup in a regular neck, but it was like open heart surgery on your guitar. You may be right, i cannot remember where i saw that...
either way the taylor expression system is not an option for him
