How Much Is This Worth?

Ok I have an electric guitar my mother got for christmas in the late 70s.
Its a Citation from what it says on the head. It greatly resembles the Gibson SG Standard in almost everyway. The only differences are a slight difference in body and tuning knobs. The body on mine has sharper cut aways and has smaller curves than the SG Standard. The tuning knobs on mine are metal but are more like a plastic on the SG. Everything else is exactly the same. This guitar is in great condition. Only one or two dings but very small. The only real problem with it is something inside on the pickup fell off so the one side of one of the pickups always sort of falls in. You can screw it up again but it falls back in eventually. I know its fixable but I cant go in to fix it cause one of the screws on the pick gaurd is stripped. But it doesnt affect the sound at all. Can anyone tell me how much this might be worth. I estimated anywhere from 700 to over 1500 comparing it to the Gibson SGs but i could be way off. Thanks.

id sayyyy 500-800 unless citation was really good, but im assuming they were like the GL's is to fender now, as they mighta been to gibson... soooo might not be worth much... i dont know though.

Wasn't/isn't the Citation made by Gibson?

Citation is a brand name. I found a review for a 12 string acoustic Citation over at harmony central. No luck on an SG style model though. Gibson did make a model called the Citation I believe.

would guess its not quite that much. it sound like a cheaper japanaposer brand of gibson. btw, i know this aint it but does the body looki similar?

I dont want to sell it im just curious of how much it is worth.

And yes it looks similar to the picture except the pick gaurd is bigger. It goes above the pickups also if you know which kind im talking about.

Where did you get 5066 from. Or was that a sarcastic answer?

And there is a Gibson Citation but its not what im talking about. The Gibson Citation is a specific guitar but the Citation im talking about is a brand name.
