ok - going home for christmas break this upcoming thursday, and i really wanna take my guitar home with me on the plane, but i don't have a hard case, just a gig bag
i have my concerns about this, but i really want to play over break
suggestions?

for teh cost of shipping it you could almost buy a hard case. ship it or dont take it

i'm in the same situation, except I have a hardcase that is too big for a carryon. So i'm just gonna get it packed really well and ship it.

um... i was concerned about this last year. HOWEVER.. you CAN take the guitar (in gig bag) onto the plane. I did.. and it was fine. Just put it in the overhead compartment, and if you see someone open that compartment just say, *Hey bitch, thats my guitar go to the next one" No one bothered my guitar.. and my guitar didnt bother them. Its allowed...its fine. No death. Its fine. Go ahead.
