A little question... about set up

Unread post by Tranman66 » Fri Dec 03, 2004 5:07 pm

Hey, sorry if this has been posted. I just bought an adapter to connect my guitar to my computer. Right now, here is what i have

2 100$ mic for my mixer in the living room, we used it for karaoke
I am not sure if that mixer is usable for this kinda stuff. Its an audiogalaxy.
a Desktop mic that i have been using.

Ok, now help me out. I want to record guitar and vocal at once, the mic is good for vocal, the guitar can be plugged in. so how can i record from two lines at once? or do you have a better set up?

When i record music using my adapter, it only records to one channel, one sided. I check, everything is set on balance, is there something wrong?

i dont know what the mixer is for. BUt we hook up the preamp and the tv and dvd to it. Its just an advance set up for karaoke, i dont know if i can use it connecting to the computer or not. the adapter is just converting the headphone jack so it would fit into the line in on my computer.

the only other things i can think of is that the headphone output is in mono, or that you have somthing set wrong on your recording program

sorry

you need a soundcard with multiple inputs or a specifically cpu usb recording hub to record simultaneously. not cheap.
