Blue Water would be a big likely hood, with the teasing going on, the live release, and being a song that really digs on carter and has a lot of room to work with. Heathcliff's is I think a definate no. That would have been more likely on Some Devil. I think Loving Wings would be it. So I say Blue Water, Loving Wings, or Monkey Man.

Also, Granny and Help Myself are a no-go. Granny was tried on UTTAD, and they didn't like it in the studio and threw it out, plus it's a regular tune released many times. Then, Help Myself was studio recorded during BTCS and sent to scream 2.
yes well, we all know some of dave's tunes have been on more than one album...

I was wondering if someone would pick up on the sarcasm.

Why is everyone saying "this song is gonna be on the new album... no it isn't this song is..." WHO GIVES A FUCK. I am 100x more interested in the producer. I mean Dr. Dre??? Is anyone else pumped about that? I am.

Def. Speeny. If the Dre thing holds true, I will be looking forward to this album more than any other they've released...just out of sheer curiosity. I'm trying to imagine what that would sound like...I'm thinking really really good.

Exactly. I can't see how it would sound anything like their other albums, which is a good thing IMO.

Never 2 studio versions. Remember R2T is pretty much a live album.

but if you think about that, they could bring a R2T track into the studio . . . Recently, Jane, OSW, Minarets, Seek Up, IBYU, and X-Mas. But that most likely won't happen, but who knows.

im turning this around again...you said help myself couldn't be on the album because they sent it to scream sound track...

where are you going was on mr. deeds soundtrack...and busted stuff...hence the two albums which is what i meant..and was miss interpreted...so it is possible.

It's the exact same take, exact same song, exact same studio. Doesn't apply here in this context at all, lol ;) . DMB has been on a few soundtracks. For that matter then, they could take WAYG and just take the track and not edit it, just take the busted stuff version and plop it on. Help Myself you can just consider a BTCS track, just misplaced.

Jayzus I wish you guys would for once refrain from bickering over such piddle. I hope he doesn't put ANY of his old songs on a new album, what'd be the point of that? I'd rather hear a bad new song than an classic live tune watered down for the studio.

I like the mystery of the rare live songs, it seems like thats their place. I wouldnt mind hearing all new tunes, but then again if JTR showed up i would be pumped, as for Granny i think its cool as is, its a live song known by all DMB fans so it wouldnt add anything really to be out in the studio and not having a crowd chanting "love!" "Baby!"
When is the album going to be released? I am so pumped no matter what
