anyone ever adjust their neck by themselves??...i did it today...good so far...knock on wood...it would save me a good 50 bucks rather than getting a pro set up when i can do the same thing...

umm, actually a week ago or so, my entire neck was reaaaaaly fucked up, like crazy fucked up, fixed it myself, with a little help from praisedave.

When I read this thread title I thought it said "auction yourself?" and I was going to say something along the lines of "no one would bid for you".

yeah adjusting neck is no problem, pros are ripoffs... the only thing i would suggest having a pro do is adjust a nut if you are makin one from scratch because the only way for you to adjust it is to buy a set of fret files that would cost as much as gettin it fixed by a pro

i do it on all my guitars, unfourtantely, i kind of cracked the neck on my vintage jazz bass while doing this
