Help with special tuning..

i'm trying to think of a new way to play this song, and i'm trying to tune my D string to match pitch with the A string 11th fret?

is this possible or will break my string?

That will definitely break it. That's equivalent to the first fret on your G string.

ok, i'm not sure if this is the same thing...

but what i'm trying to do is, capo on 2...is make the open D tune up too the pitch at 4th fret d string(capo 2)

I'd just say, wear safety goggles and gloves on your hands if you're trying to raise the pitch of a string 2 whole steps

Perhaps you could think. There's this thing you may have heard of called tension. If there's too much of that, stuff might break. Steel flying at you might hurt. On an aside, what the hell are you doing tuning it like that anyway if you're such a beginner? You ought to learn a touch about standard tuning, not fucking with bullshit tuning because you don't want to put any effort forth and stretch your hand. And realize that if you ask a stupid question. . .

Maybe if beginers didn't act like jackasses when someone made a smart ass comment, they wouldn't treat people like that. How about next time you see that, you just act like it was never said and keep things to yourself?It's much easier on everyone that way
