rolling stone magazine is worthless shit that only cares about music that is popular now, or was deemed amazing 10 years after the writers death.

i agree on simon and garfunkle... but i mean i love nirvana, and i think kurt cobain was an excelent writer and what not, but hes listed as number 11 greatest guitarists of all time in there... he knew only a few chords...HCHaikuWarrior wrote:still bullshitfilmdude100cms wrote:NEWSFLASHHCHaikuWarrior wrote:dmb not placing one slot on rolling stones top 500 songs?

But dude, their songwriting is nothing short of pure genius. Take for instance, this bit of intellectualism so intricately blended with driving distortion:Grachi wrote:weezer is the most irritating shit i've listened to. it seriously use to give me headaches like half way into their songs.

weezer is a great band i think, catchy songs and Rivers Cuomo is a good writer but i would have expected crash to be on b/c it was DMB's most popular, but i agree with the #1 song being bullshit. The are just making a list that the top 40 listeners would likeledzepp4l wrote:Yeah really, they're no. 1 was 'like a rolling stone' by dylan.
