How do you record your music to your computer??

This is the place to talk about guitar playing not done by Dave! Topics about techniques, styles, theory, and other guitarists go here.

How do you record your music to your computer??

Post by Tranman66 »

Please show me... I use a regular computer microphone. I had a Labtech before, it was good, but then it broke. So i got a new mic, but it sounds too bright, it doesn't bring out the warm of your voice and guitar. How do you record your music to your computer? What mic do you recommend?

I use a mixer into Cool Edit Pro. I then take them into Audiograbber and convert them into MP3 format.

When I want to record to just play around I record direct into Cool Edit Pro or Samplitude, depending on which one I feel like messing with.

Is there a reason why you don't just save them as mp3s in cool edit? Just curious.
