*******Official Tim Reynolds Parts Thread******** (Nancies)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

he mainly plays chord.

Bmin, G, A, F#(m?)....
i think the best way to play that as an open chord is a D/F#
B+P by offer only...thank you

i-am-me, I tried tabbing out Tim on the 5-5-03 DVD during SMTS but I can't figure out that little riff he does really fast. It's normally a sax part I think, but could ya give it a try? I'm currently doing all I can to tab it, but I'm not very good at tabbin so, I was hopin you could give 'er a shot, thanks buddy.

So Much To Say:

Alright Kukini, i took a stab at it, and this is what i have. its one of two things:

Either

Code: Select all

------5------5-------------------
------5------5--8p5--------------
------5-----(5)-----7p5----------
------------------------7--------
---------------------------------
--/5-----------------------------

or

------5------5-------------------
------5------5-------------------
------5-----(5)--7p5---5---------
---------------------7---7-------
---------------------------------
--/5-----------------------------
now remember, those are played fast. tell me which you think sounds better, you were right, that's a tough riff to tab out.

also, here's some other stuff i threw together real quick

Code: Select all

When dave does this:
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
--0--8\---------------------------------

Tim does this:
-----------------------------------
-------------------8--10~~---------
-----------------------------------
----5--7~~---or--------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------

This is for the verse:
-------5---1----5-5-3-------------------
-------5---1----6-5-3-------------------
-------5---2----7-7-4-------------------
-----------3----7-7-5------------------
-----------3---/5-5-5-------------------
--/5-------1--------3------------------

i'll post more of this when i have more time. :)

heh, bold doesn't work within code i guess.

but...maybe i'm playing it wrong, but the last note doesn't sound like the 5 to me. sounds more like the 7.
