Question about Folsom Field

Post by Mr. Corn »

On the intro to "Recently" Dave sings some lyrics that aren't on the Remember Two Things CD. (Some people drink, some people don't......) Are these just random lyrics he sings only sometimes or did he borrow from another song?

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

I dont think he borrowed it from another song but I could be wrong. On most live recordings Ive heard of this song he says that stuff though.

Dave usually throws in some "have a good time by getting smashed or high" (although a lot more artistically than that) lyrics onto the beginning of recently.

Political views: you must bear your neighbor's burden within reason, and your labors will be born when all is done

it's just an intro, usually called "some do/ some don't"

the one on red rocks however "sunshine on my shoulders" is a john denver song.
"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

I think the REAL "Folsom Field DVD Question" is where in the hell my DVD ran off to. The world may never know...
