Why do you buy the DVD's?

Post by DreaminBassMunky »

I was just wondering if anybody ever bought DMB and other band's DVD's for the sole purpose to play along with. Thats what I do. The first day I bought Folsom (which I didn't really enjoy all that much  ) I played and sang through most of the DVD with the band, minus the Baritone tuning songs. It's more fun that way, rather than just playing along with the album.

I don't trade shows, so it's my live DMB fix.

Yeah, I buy them for the enjoyment of watching the band live in concert and for the reason of watching Dave play so that I can figure things out more easily. Like I said in another post, that 10/24/02 DVD is amazing, it cleared up all my Crush questions immediatley and also helped with a few other parts I was unsure of in other songs.

Yeh I find them fun to watch, but everytime I put one in I have to grab my guitar, and only put it down for the baritone tuned songs, and what not.

i love the dmb dvds...wish there were more of em....i wish there was a dvd of storytellers...cause i've never seen it and everyone's always mentioning it. i think they should make a behind the music kinda thing too....since there aren't a lot of interview type dmb things, like with dave and the band talking about their music and whatnot.

Storytellers was definitely awesome. It took me like three days to download that with my dial up connection, but it was worth every bit of seeing Dave and Tim play together (considering thats something that probably otherwise never would have happened). Actually, I shouldn't say that, if they tour again within the next year im definitely there.....I have plane tickets (cancelled summer vacation) that I'm sitting on for the next year in hopes they do another tour anywhere in the U.S......if not, I'll just go to Florida for spring break.....

You can get a DVD of the portion of Storytellers that was aired on television. Try going over to http://www.sharingthegroove.org and asking for someone to b&p it for you if you really want it.
