I think 15 songs is WAY too many songs if you're wanting to leave something for the imagination. that's not a little tribute concert. that's a real concert. ESPECIALLY if you're going to jam. i think by definition, if you want to give people a small taste and make them want to hear more, no more than 8. I'd say somewhere around 5 w/ long jams.

Yeah, one of our concerns was to not make it too long and get the listeners (who will be drinking, who knows, coffee or something...) But none of our songs go into the long jams...its just guitar and drums so no solos either way really, just the basic songs excpet for some live version stuff like warehouse and dancing nanices. we had to cut down WWYS pretty much in half to fit it into our segue and the segue from SMTS-->billies is just a couple measures on the drums to ASTB, then a couple measures to billies. So Maybe we could cut some songs though
I think the order in the original post is fine. Starts off with two upbeat songs. Nancies -->Warehouse is good. Ants - solid. R+R and BEF nice back to back
the WWYS -->Billies stretch will be kickass. Then take a break and come back with the last three.
I like the idea of the comming back for the last 3... that stretch WWYS to Trippin Billies is locked in stone we have been playin those 4 in a row since we saw Central park (replacing Too Much w/ TB because I can't play Too Much, and adding WWYS) And my drummer wanted to end with it but TB isn't one of my strongest songs. But if you come back with that it would be sweet good idea.

Ummm we don't have a recording of it maybe someday haha

I think the point is that its okay to know dave songs. Hell, this site taught me how to play guitar. but after a certain point, you need to start branching out. there's much much much more out there that is great for improving your guitar work.

think too much would still sound cool during the verses with only the acoustic and drums? an during the sax parts?

dave has played too much solo before, sounds ok
my 2 cents - if you wanna play all dmb, by all means do
but - make sure you do it perfectly, i mean if you're just playing one band, make sure you do that one band right
