My friends claim it is good for cleaning out the dirty mary jane in their pipes, but they have no respect for those picks anyway :(

Yeah, it seems dropping the pick in the sound hole is the second most frequent act I use my pick for. I've almost got the flipping-the-guitar-over-really-fast method down so I can get the pick out on the first or second try pretty regularly. I need to just get some poster putty and stick a bit on the end of a pencil. That would be faster and more reliable.

Oh, yeah, scratching my back and head with it are fun too. Mmmm, pick scratching...

I broke a whole bunch of those cheap plastic pics until I switched to Planet Waves and Daddario lights (.45mm-.50mm). They're a little slippery at first but once you "break them in" they'll last you for ever. That is, as long as you don't loose them in the black sound hole.

I can remember learning to play the guitar and dropping like 10 picks a day into the soundhole. I got really good at flipping it upside down and gettnig them out though. :) . I never had a problem with breaking though, I use these picks from my local music shop and i swear I've never broken one.
