strumming

Post by DUS7IN »

anyone else have problems getting the strumming patterns to songs while learning. I hear them fine but I really have a tough time reproducing them. I have only been playing six months and can finger any chord now but those damn patterns are tough to reproduce right now. Is this normal.

no more gripping :x

yes it's normal, just keep working through it...soon enough you'll just have all the rhythm in the world if you keep at it

If you like a song enough, you should be able to pick up the rythm, if the song isn't one you're used to, it may take a while.

what you could do (and probably should have already) is learn how to count music....then itll be much less of a problem. Being able to but strumming patterns into a number system and using a metronome, itll make things a lot easier
