So I am looking for some effects stuff, what is essential?

Want to ask about strings, maintenance, amps, mics, or comparisons of different guitars or any music equipment? This is for all threads related to music equipment.

Ok so I have a birthday comin up and I am lookin to pick up some pedals/amp and stuff for my acoustic. I would like ot get alot, but am not really sure of what would be good, what do you think are musts?

Here is what I am lookin at: an amp ( a decent one), a Boss tuner (pretty sure on this one), a dd-6 delay, maybe 2, a line 6 dl4 sampler delay, maybe a mixer, a boss fs-5u footswitch ,maybe a tremolo, a mic, or a dd-3 delay, anyways what do you think is a must have?
I think people think that maybe theres more chance I'll play if they sound mad and I'm like you guys are just pretending, I know why you go to the gym its for the steam room big boy, come in here with that '41' stuff, I see through that tiger DM 3-19

A Crybaby..absolutly even if you've never used one, they are just awesome to have around and screw around with. You also might wanna pick up an effects processor as well, I have one for my bass, and it adds a lot to the instrument. To get one with really good tone you might have to spend an arm and a leg though.

Tremolos are really fun, but I'm not sure how great it would go with an acoustic.

Sansamp Acoustic DI. If you're gonna through all those pedals then get this little baby to boost that acoustic tone. I love mine. Makes your acoustic sound sweet.

Tim Reynolds swears by it!

Peace,

i just want to make sure you are buying these one at a time. buy them one at a time. go to the music store and they usually have pedals all lined up. so you can test certain ones and find what you like. i own a sansamp but i say go test a Boss acoustic pedal and see what you think. try them all out cuz ultimately you are the one who will have to live with your tone.

I will vouch for this set-up 250,000 % (and you could even exchange the DD-6 for DD-5 if you wish  )
