well, when i play, my arm rests where those strings are, thusly, wearing, and hurting the finish on the guitar, if resting on strings, and if theyre going that distance, and being tied to stuff and what not, theyll break much more easier,

yeah... and if you got a particularly heavy arm it might trem the sound...theres an idea, an acoustic trem...hmmm
