Well - all the good comments I got for my cover of "So Damn Lucky" from everyone before caused me to record another song and post it up here - this time I tried "Oh" because I have not heard a single soul play it yet on here - so here it is - let me know if you like it or think it needs some work...again I don't claim to be a good singer and I am mic'ing this next to my computer - so quality wise it might sound strange - i ran it through some filters to make it sound a little more like its live
Something sounds a little off with the main riff. I think you might be hitting a wrong note, but it might just be the reverb. The vocals are quite off at the beginning, but get better toward the end. You sound out of air most of the time. Maybe look up some info on breathing correctly on the internet or even here on this forum. It can't hurt.

I agree...the guitar part doesn't sound like it's in raised B at all... what tuning are you playing in bro? and yeah, maybe look up some correct breathing patterns for singing..it will make you a better singer

I just listened to it again and it is kinda off - its in open tuning - I can not figure out how to get to raised B tuning without breaking my strings...and I hate capo's ... I will try to re-record it to sound better and work on my breathing - gracius
i cant listen to it yet cause im on a school cpu but: i've been thinking about covering this for a while and if you playit tuned incorectly your singing also has to change keys and that makes the world a much harder place to live in. i hate playin with a capo too, but for like campfire singalongs etc. they're gold.
edit: after listening to cover: i think the main riff is off, and not just the tuning. I believe the timing is off. plus, i think the riff should be played with a more jazzy poppy sound... that may be just me. u sing goodly tho
Your missing a couple notes on the main riff. I like what you did with the other parts though. Tuning is definatly off. Singing is off key a little too but it wasnt that bad.
To tune in raised B, you have to change your strings. I'm actually not real sure what strings you put where I just know you cant do it with the standard strings on it.

i believe its extra light so the strings wont break

Remove low E- Raise every string up one spot- put on a B in the final 6th spot. or throw a capo on

Man, i think the tuning that you have makes that song sound awsome. It funks the notes and gives it a really cool sound.. Maybe not what dave plays, but certainly a very cool alternative.
Its like... getting two birds stoned at once. (Ricky-trailor park boys).
