copyright infringement

first off, i dont know where to post this so feel free to move it Mr. Moderator.

okay. i am a visual artist. i do art and crap. im that art honors society dweeb at your school. ive found a website that allows me to put drawings/creations of mine on things like mousepads, mugs, tshirts, etc. someone eductaed please tell me if i am allowwed to put daves head/body/etc on one o these things. i know i cant put anything dmb, but because of his solo album some devil i think i cant put him either. dont guess, if you dont know please dont mislead me. with my beautiful brown locks id be the number 1 rapee in prison!

You can put pictures of dave and stuff on there I believe.. a while ago, Brock(I think) put a dmb southpark style picture on mugs and stuff on a website and people bought them.. I don't think it's against copyright

Go for it, it's not like the cops will show up and arrest you. If anything redlight will get in contact with you to tell you to stop, but i doubt it

Usually, you can recreate things like that for personal use but not for resale or distribution. I don't think the government would hunt you down over a coffee mug.

I think that would technically be illegal, but once again, I doubt the government or lawyers are going to come after you over a few coffee cups.

I am not a lawyer and all that (just a lowly law student)...

You could be infringing the copyright of the person who took the picture (in fact, you likely would be, by creating a derivative work of the picture).

Dave doesn't have a copyright in his face, but you could be violating his right to publicity.

Will either of them find out and sue you? Dunno. But they could.
